Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 in 1967) is an American actor and a singer. Her career started when she was still in her teens. Her most notable performances include Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders; and her character Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble) working as a payroll accountant and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). She is the youngest of three children. The singer was in her teens who performed in clubs, sneaking away from the family in order to do so. After attending the Wooster School at the age of thirteen and began to study the art of drama. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known teacher Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. Born on April 28 the 28th of April, 1967 in Brookfield Connecticut. Her father is both a German American policeman as well as an auto salesman. Kari's siblings are three. As a teenager was a nightclub singer, she would sing while slipping out to perform. Kari began studying acting when she was just 13 years old. She then studied drama at Tisch School of the Arts in New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College in addition to at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, along with Uta Hagen who was a famous teacher. Kari started acting when she was a teenager, and her first television break was in 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
