Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born on 15 September 1915 in Ogden, Utah. Reared in the Mormon Church's first family Fawn McKay directed her ingenious writing talents as well as her remarkable abilities in research to create an amazing psycho-historical account of Joseph Smith, published in 1945 under the title"No Man knows My History. The title of this book was an inspiration for a funeral sermon given in 1844 by the Church of Latter-Day Saints founder, Joseph Smith. In that sermon he stated: "You do not know who I am and have never seen my heart." Nobody knows my story. There is no way for me to share it with you. Fawn (29 year old) stated that in the time she has been honest since the moment she made her statement the three hundred and thirty writers have stood up to the occasion. Many have abhorred him and others have deified. There are a few who have come to an assessment. It's not that documents aren't there, it's the fact that they're contradictory. The task is to sort out personal testimony from third party fraud and then blending Mormon and non-Mormon narratives into a coherent theology. It's both thrilling and educational. Fawn brodie was highly committed to the task. Thaddeus Stevens. Stevens became immortalized through her writing and by the results of her research. "The Devil's Road" (1959) The Slaughter of the South. Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon, An Intimate historical account (1974), posthumous.
